Wroclaw
Wroc³aw, the capital of Lower Silesia is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland. Located at the foothills of Sudety, over the Odra river, cut through by its multiple tributaries and channels, is a town of 12 islands and 112 bridges. This is why it is called the "Polish Venetia". It has many monuments bearing witness to the rich and tumultuous history of the area, , and at the same time it is the most "green" of the Polish cities. One can walk with pleasure among its many parks and gardens. Wroc³aw has an international airport with direct flights of low-fares airlines to London, Copenhagen and many German cities.
Day by day itinerary
1st day
Arrival to Wroc³aw and meeting the guide on the Old Town Market Square. Sightseeing of the gothic City Hall, St. Elisabeth's garrison church from the 2nd half of the 14th Century, charming tenement houses "Ja i Ma³gosia" (Hansel und Gretel), baroque Lepolidn's Hall in the University's building. Then walking onto the Piasek Island where a 33 m high gothic church of Virgin Mary. A walk on the Ostrów Tumski, the historical heart of Wroc³aw, where its history started over 1000 years ago.
2nd day
Seeing the monumental Panorama Rac³awicka, a painting with a dimensions of 15x114 m, commemorating the battle of Rac³awice fought by Thaddeus Kosciuszko. Sightseeing in the Botanical Garden and the gothic John the Baptist's Cathedral, the seat of the Wroclaw bishopric.
3rd day
A walk through the Szczytnicki Park to Japanese Garden, which delights not only with the richness of its fauna and floram but also with Japanese lanterns, cascades and with the tea pavilion. A cruise on the Odra River on the route: port at the Market Hall - Peace Bridge - Grunwald Bridge - Szczytniki Lock - Zwierzyniecki Bridge - Szczytnicki Bridge - Psie Pole Weir and then return.
4th day
A day to be used as our guests see fit. Departure from Wroc³aw.
