Water & bikes Mazury

Mazury is an area in the north-eastern Poland, rich in beautiful, clean lakes, connected by channels and rivers and surrounded by forests. It is a perfect place for sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and biking. Pristine, verdant nature, low population and well-developed tourist base, including yacht, canoe and bike rentals, make the Mazury an ideal location for active water holidays.

Activities and places worth seeing

Sailing - it's a perfect sport for rest and relaxation. The Mazury Lakes are hundreds of lakes connected by channels and rivers, thus creating a perfect sailing environment. In the evenings, we recommend a rest with shanties, in one of the many sailing towns such as Mikołajki or Sztynort. It is possible to rent both 4 to 10 person yachts as well as smaller boats, perfect for one-day sailing. We provide yacht rental and the hiring of skippers.

Canoes -in the Mazury area one can find the most beautiful Polish rivers visited by lovers of canoeing trips. Krutynia, Czarna Hańcza and Rospuda are picturesque rivers flowing through forests, fields and beautiful towns. We recommend a few days in a canoe, kayak or on a raft. We provide the vessels, appropriate training, and when nights are spent in the open, the necessary camping equipment.

Bikes - Mazury are not only the lakes, rivers and channels. This country is made for biking trips. A well developed network of bicycle paths, low-traffic roads and clean air result in biking trips being very popular among the tourists in this area. We recommend an excursion to Gierłoża with its network of bunkers - a former headquarters of Adolph Hitler, or to Giżycko and the 19th Century Boyen fortress. We provide bikes, maps and guides.

Mikołajki - a typical sailing town in the centre of Mazury, where the activity lasts until late night. A good starting point for sailing into the biggest lake in Poland - Śniardwy.

Warsaw - the capital of Poland, located approx. 220 km from Giżycko (the central point of Mazury), perfect as a starting and ending point of a trip to Mazury. Its historical centre was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Warsaw has hundreds of monuments that have to be seen during a stay in Poland (Old Town, Royal Castle, National Museum, Old Town Market Square, Barbican).
